How to see if you're on the Tea app
Tea is an app where women post about men they have dated. Men can't open it to look. A tea checker like this one lets you look from the outside. Here is what happens when you search.
1. Tell us who to look for
Type your first name, the city you live or date in, and your age. Use your first name only, since full names tend to miss. You can also add a clear photo of your face. The photo is optional, but it helps when a post uses a nickname or no name at all.
2. We compare it with Tea posts
Your details are checked against the Tea posts we can see. A name search looks for posts that fit your first name, city and age. A photo search uses our own face match to look for posts that show a similar face.
3. See your results for free
Most checks take about 10 seconds. If something turns up, you see how many possible matches there are, with the details blurred. Seeing this costs nothing.
4. Unlock if you want to read them
If you want the full posts, you can unlock them. The price is shown in the pay box before you pay. If you don't unlock, you don't pay.
One more thing. A name match is a possible match, not proof that a post is about you. Lots of people share a first name. Look at the city, age and photo before you decide.
What a match shows you, free and unlocked
Every result is a possible match. You decide if it is really about you.
Before you pay
- How many possible matches we found
- A blurred photo from each post
- The first name on the post and its city
- Its red flag or green flag count
- How many comments it has
After you unlock
- The photo, no longer blurred
- The full text of the post
- All the comments and flags
- Who posted it: the account behind the post, where and when it posts, who else it has posted, and what others have said about it
- Checks for new posts while your plan is active
When nothing turns up
A clean result means we found no match in the Tea posts we can see today. It isn't proof that you were never posted. New posts go up all the time, so it can be worth checking again later. There is nothing to unlock when there is no match.
Why men can't look themselves up on Tea
Tea is built for women
Tea is a dating safety app for women. Press reports say it checks a selfie or ID when someone signs up. So a man can't make an account and scroll for his own name. Asking a woman friend to look for you is awkward, and it puts her in the middle.
Is there a Tea app for men?
No. There is no men's version of Tea. Some other apps let men post about women, but this site only checks Tea. It isn't made by Tea, and it isn't linked to it.
What you can do instead
Check from the outside. A search here needs only a first name, city and age, or a photo. You don't need a Tea account, and nobody has to lend you theirs. If you date in more than one city, run a check for each one.
Free to search. Pay only to read a match.
Searching is free. You can run a check and see if there are possible matches without paying anything.
Unlocking a match is a paid weekly plan. It renews each week until you cancel, and you can cancel online anytime. Prepaid cards pay once instead, with no plan. The exact price is shown in the pay box before you pay, so you know the cost before you enter a card.
The pay box also tells you the name that will show on your card statement. That way the charge won't look strange when you see it later.
When you cancel, it takes effect right away: your plan stops and you won't be charged again. Read our refund and cancel rules and our terms before you buy. You can cancel your plan online at any time.
Your search stays private
Nobody on Tea is told
When you search, nothing is posted anywhere and no one on Tea gets a notice. The person who wrote a post won't know you looked.
No account needed
You don't sign up to search. If you choose to unlock, checkout asks for your name, your email and your payment details, and nothing more.
Card payments go through Stripe
Your card details are typed into Stripe's secure form. We never see your full card number.
What happens to your photo
A photo is only used if you choose to add one, and you are asked to agree first. Only add a photo of yourself, or of someone you are legally allowed to act for. It is used to compare faces for your search. If you use your camera, it only turns on after you tap to use it and your browser asks you to allow it.
Photos are kept in encrypted storage; face data is destroyed within 3 years or sooner once it is no longer needed.
The full details are in our Biometric Notice and Privacy Policy. You can also ask us to delete your data.
Is a Tea app checker legit? Four things to check
Some checker sites are fine. Some take your money before they show you anything. Before you pay any site, look for these four things.
- You can see if there's a match before you pay. If a site wants money just to look, you may pay for nothing.
- The price is shown before you enter a card. No surprises at the end.
- There is a real privacy policy and real terms. You should be able to read them before you buy.
- You know the name on your card statement. A charge you don't recognize is stressful.
This site does all four. Here is how a free search compares with a pay-first lookup.
| What you get | This checker | Pay-first lookups |
|---|---|---|
| Cost to search | Free | You pay before anything is checked |
| See if there's a match first | Yes | No |
| How results arrive | On screen, usually in about 10 seconds | Often a report sent later by email |
| Search with a photo | Yes, optional | Not always |
We don't name other sites. Hold any checker up to the four checks above.
Tea App Checker questions and answers
How do I know if I'm on the Tea app?
Men can't search Tea, so the simplest way is to check from the outside. Enter your first name, city and age here, or add a photo. You'll see if there are possible matches before you pay anything.
Can men see posts on the Tea app?
No. Tea is made for women, and press reports say it checks a selfie or ID when someone signs up. A man can't open the app and look up his own name.
Is there a Tea app for men?
There is no men's version of Tea. Some other apps let men post about women, but this site checks Tea only, and it isn't part of Tea.
Is this Tea app checker free?
Searching is free, and you'll see if there are possible matches. Reading a match in full needs a paid weekly plan. The price is shown in the pay box before you pay.
Can I find out who posted me?
After you unlock a match, you can see the account behind the post, where and when it posts, who else it has posted and what others have said about that account. We show only what we can see, so this isn't guaranteed for each post.
How long does a check take?
Most checks take about 10 seconds. At busy times it can take a little longer.
Can I search the Tea app by name instead of a photo?
Yes. Enter a first name, age and city. Adding a photo can help, because many people share a first name and some posts don't use one.
Will the person who posted about me know I searched?
No. Your search isn't posted anywhere, and nobody on Tea gets a notice that you looked.
Is a Tea app checker legit?
Some are and some aren't. A good one shows you if there's a match before you pay, shows the price before checkout, and has a real privacy policy. This one does all three.
Does it search everything on Tea?
No. It searches the Tea posts we can see. No checker can honestly promise it covers everything ever written on Tea.
What if nothing comes up?
It means no match was found in the posts we searched today. It isn't proof you were never posted. New posts go up all the time, so you can check again later.
How do I cancel?
Go to the Cancel page at teaappchecker.app/cancel/ and enter the email you paid with, plus one detail we can match, like your last name. Cancelling takes effect right away and stops all future charges.
